Had some tea and cake with Nicola from Supporting People this morning. She's organising a "Let's Get Involved" Conference on 29th June and wants me to run a couple of workshops on "Creative Involvement" using my flip camcorders. Connie from Dereham is going to assist me which will be brilliant. We brainstormed ways of ending the conference in a creative, interactive way and came up with the "Evaluation Raffle." People would be given slips of paper to write their favourite thing about the conference. These would be put in a hat and a selection pulled out at random and read aloud. The people who wrote them will get prizes. In this way there will be the excitement of a raffle (I love a good raffle!) and we'll get to reflect on the day in a positive way. Nicola also agreed for me to organise a Knit-In for the giant Pride Rainbow scarf at lunchtime whilst the "Involvement Cinema" featuring the Supporting People DVD and other films are screened.
